What is Community Gardens? A Deeper Dive

Community Gardens is more than just a destination — we’re a community hub where families, neighbors, and local businesses come together. Located in the heart of Bastrop, we are proud to offer a welcoming space filled with events, shopping, dining, wellness, and community connection.

Our fully stocked plant nursery is a favorite for gardeners of all experience levels, featuring our popular everyday $2 herbs and vegetable plants. Whether you’re starting your first garden or expanding your backyard oasis, we have something for everyone.

Throughout the year, Community Gardens hosts a variety of beloved community events including our popular Pop-Up Markets, summer Kid’s Day celebrations, and our renowned Pumpkin Patch every October — a seasonal tradition families look forward to year after year.

We also have plenty of indoor and outdoor space to host your special event! We've hosted rehearsal dinners, casino nights, fundraisers, anniversaries, quinciñeras, birthday parties & more!

We are also home to several outstanding local businesses:​
